Table of Grace is church without reservations. Don't hold back, hold out, hold off, or wait for the perfect moment (there's no such thing!). Show up now despite your doubts, overcome hesitation, and dig in.
A Place For You
We're a comfortable community of all sorts of people discovering and sharing God’s love in our daily lives. The dress code is casual and there’s always room for more. Your place at The Table is waiting!
Set For Life
We’re told “the good life” is made up of the right spouse, house, job, kids, and a bunch of stuff. We can never seem to have it all. Jesus offers something different. Come find life worth living around his table.
What is Table of Grace?
Table of Grace is a new church community gathering in and around Harrisburg, South Dakota. We get together to build connections, share with others, and worship God.
Where and when does Table of Grace meet?
We don’t meet for weekly worship yet, but we do meet at several different tables in the Harrisburg area. You’re welcome to join around a book study table, a small group table, or take the opportunity to serve in the community through our monthly volunteer experiences. We mostly meet in public spaces, so just show up, and if we look too scary or weird, you can always pretend you were there for another reason! Check out “events” to see where we’ll be next.
What does Table of Grace believe?
We believe in grace. You’ve probably heard of “amazing grace,” or you might be lucky enough to be a graceful dancer, or perhaps you’ve taken advantage of the “grace” period on student loans! Grace is God’s free gift of love given for you through Jesus, no strings attached. Grace is a daily new start. Grace is the food we need to get through the week. Grace is poured on us in baptism. We live in it and soak it up and share it when we get the chance. We’re always discovering more about what God’s grace is for us, but we know we need it, and we’re sure to find it at the Table.
Is Table of Grace related to a particular denomination?
We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Working together is just one way we are tearing down boundaries that divide. We draw on the deep traditions that belong to Presbyterians and Lutherans. You might find this meaningful if you come from either tradition, another tradition, or no tradition at all.
Pastor Jess Daum lives in the Explorer Elementary School neighborhood with her husband and their one-year-old daughter. She can often be found having conversation over coffee (with plenty of cream and sugar--sorry coffee purists). She grew up in North Dakota and went to school at Concordia College in Moorhead and Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. Jess has a passion for the great love story between God and the world. She’d love to meet you for coffee, lunch, or happy hour to connect, hear your story, and discover the gifts or needs you might bring to The Table of Grace.

Table of Grace Church is a mission congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We are setting the table in unexpected places and offering a menu of rich food for the soul from the Christian tradition. We’re busy inviting those who have never been a part of church, those who have been gone from church for a while, and those who typically wouldn’t consider gathering around Christ’s Table of Grace.
Please join as partners in our mission and help us set a place for all.
Your financial gifts help us set the Table.
Individuals or congregations can partner with Table of Grace by sending financial gifts to support the work of Table of Grace. Financial gifts from generous supporters and Partner Congregations help us to reach out to more people and share the Good News more widely. We would be grateful to receive your budgeted annual gift, special offering, or any other means of financial support. Pastor Jess Daum is available to have coffee with you, or preach, teach, or share a mission moment in your congregation in order to connect people to the impact of their financial gift.
Help Table of Grace share the Good News in your own backyard.
Congregations can partner by calling, commissioning, and sending Missionary Households or Individuals. This committed group of people serve as Hosts at the Table of Grace. These individuals and families are sent by their congregations for a specified amount of time. They serve by connecting with people in their daily lives, inviting, providing hospitality, and caring for those who gather around the Table. We would love to continue receive families who feel called to this mission work close to their home. The team of Missionary Households is now meeting and preparing for the launch of weekly worship in Fall 2016. Does this sound exciting to you? Find out more, contact Pastor Jess.
We rely on the power of prayer.
Congregations and individuals can partner with us by praying for the ministry of Table of Grace. We believe that prayer is the most powerful resource we have as we follow the Holy Spirit into the community of Harrisburg. In order to stay in touch with current specific prayer requests, join our Facebook Table of Grace Prayer Connection group by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
